Patients without private health insurance – Ipswich General Hospital
The Surgeon and Assistant
Dr Brazel’s fee depends on the type of operation you are having. Each operation has one or more item numbers, which are used to work out the cost. Depending on the nature of the operation an assistant may be required. The details of Dr Brazel and his assistant’s fee will be explained prior to the operation and a written quote provided. In most cases it will be accurate but it may vary if something different is found during surgery and different item numbers apply.
Full payment will be required seven days prior to the operation. You will be able to claim some of the costs back from Medicare after the surgery when the receipt is forwarded onto you.
